St Charles, IL Elopement Wedding Photographer

Sarah and Dylan had originally planned to get married this October until Covid threw a wrench in their plans. Instead of letting it completely change things, they decided to have an intimate wedding ceremony back in May, swapping their big October 2020 wedding for a vow renewal + large celebration in 2021. While on the surface it doesn’t seem ideal, the change meant that Dylan and Sarah were married 3 months earlier than planned, on their 4 year anniversary of meeting, in a park where they regularly walk their dog, Sue. I’m not at all trying to diminish the frustration of plans being disrupted and rescheduling a wedding and my heart goes out to so many that have had to to that this year, but if that isn’t a romantic turn of events, I don’t know what is! I feel so privileged to have witnessed and photographed such a special day!
