Dekalb, IL Wedding Photographer

I started my 2022 wedding season back in April by documenting Steven & Kerisa’s beautiful day!

If I had to choose one word to describe the two of them it would be CALM. There were things that happened, as they so often do at weddings, that were outside of their control, and they took each thing in stride and kept their minds focused on the goal of the day: to get married.

Another thing that really stood out to me was how much they made their day their own. They had a private first dance and Mother-Son dance in their reception space before their guests arrived and a low-key, unannounced cake cutting. Aside from their formal portraits at the church and a handful at the reception, the day was photographed almost entirely candidly.

It was such a pleasure documenting their first day as husband and wife!
