Chapel in the Pines, Sycamore, IL, Intimate Micro Wedding Photographer

Man, oh man. If there was one couple of mine in 2020 that my heart continually broke for, it was Tyler and Leslie. Their original wedding date was 4/25/20, which, I’m sure you remember, was smack in the middle of the shutdown. So just weeks before their wedding, while the pandemic was still fresh and uncertain, they had to crazy scramble to figure out a new day that would work for all of their vendors. That turned out to be October 25. Fast forward to October, two weeks before their new date, and IL shut down again, which left Tyler and Ashley with two options: postpone again, or drastically cut down their already trimmed guest list so they could finally get married. They chose a combo by keeping their October 2020 date for their wedding ceremony, and pushing back their celebration to October 2021.

I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of stress they’ve felt over that past year from having to pivot so many times, but I’m so relieved for them that they were able to go through with their wedding ceremony this past October. Their Chapel in the Pines ceremony was sweet and emotional (they’ll have their vow renewal and reception there next year as well), and afterward they headed over to Jonamac Orchard for a bonfire and s’mores with their close family and friends. It was a true honor to there to document their day for those who weren’t able to be there to witness it for themselves.
